This report looks at the alignmnent and harmonization of health research in Tanzania; and opportnities to use this as a strategy to strengthen reserach capacity in the country. It aims to contribute new reflections on the best strategies to strengthen the Tanzanian health research system.
It does this by providing an overview of the national health research system from a perspective of governance and management, financing and research capacity in Tanzania.
Specific attention is given to alignment and harmonization as a strategy that has the potential to contribute to strengthening the capacity for research in the country.
